De La Salle College Revesby Heights offers a range of Vocational Education and Training (VET) courses. The role Vocational Education and Training (VET) courses play in helping students prepare for further education, training, employment and lifelong learning is widely recognised by key stakeholders in education.



Business Services

This course provides students with the opportunity to obtain national vocational qualifications for employment in the Business Services industry. This course would suit students who are interested in a career in the office or business environment and in other personal contact & service occupations such as legal or medical secretary, business management, marketing, advertising and finance. The knowledge, skills and attitudes acquired by students in this course will also be of value in future study and daily life.

Construction

This course provides students with the opportunity to obtain national vocational qualifications for employment in the Construction industry. This course would suit students who are interested in a career in the building and construction industry, building certification or project management in that industry. The knowledge, skills and attitudes acquired by students in this course will also be of value in future study and daily life.

Hospitality

This course provides students with the opportunity to obtain national vocational qualifications for employment in the Hospitality industry. This course would suit students who are interested in a career in the hospitality environment working in organisations such as restaurants, hotels, catering operations, clubs, pubs, cafes, cafeterias, coffee shops and institutions such as aged care facilities, hospitals, prisons and schools. The knowledge, skills and attitudes acquired by students in this course will also be of value in future study and daily life.

Information, Digital Media and Technology

The course provides students with a foundation in general computing and employment skills that enable participation in an information technology environment in any industry. The course provides the skills and knowledge for an individual to be competent in introductory ICT technical functions. It also assists students to achieve a degree of confidence and self-sufficiency as an advanced ICT user. The knowledge, skills and attitudes acquired by students in this course will also be of value in future study and daily life.

Sport Coaching

This course provides students with the opportunity to obtain national vocational qualifications for employment in Sport Coaching. This course would suit students who are participants in particular sports and are interested in sharing their skills and knowledge of the sport by undertaking a coaching role under supervision or independently in a sporting club or school. The knowledge, skills and attitudes acquired by students in this course will also be of value in future study and daily life.
